Creative commons are laws of the Internet that give you permission to use or not to use stuff that isn't yours. You could Use material posted on the Internet if the creator gives you persimmon or if it has the CC symbol. If there is only C symbol it means you need to ask permission from the owners lawyers if they say "Yes" you are allowed if they say "No you are not allowed access to use it in any way.
